An innovative concept. A resounding success.
Addressing a critical, yet unmet, need in the unconventional market for an integrated learning platform, the inaugural Unconventional Resources Technology Conference (URTeC) provided the industry’s first venue where disciplines across every aspect of the sector could come together and collectively learn about the technical aspects of unconventional plays.
Another collaborative effort between the world’s leading oil and gas professional societies - Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) - the success of URTeC met all expectations in becoming the emerging leader in integrated learning. Not since the inception of OTC in the late 1960s has an event attracted such acute interest from the market.
More than 4,500 attendees. 173 exhibitors. 45 countries.
Held August 12-14, 2013 in Denver, Colorado, URTeC attracted a who’s who audience of the industry’s best and brightest. Nearly 350 presentations from engineers, geoscientists and other energy professionals and over 170 exhibiting companies interacted with 4,500 attendees from 45 countries. Remarkably, more than 99% of surveyed attendees said they would recommend URTeC to a co-worker or friend and over 98% said they would return in 2014.
